PROPERTY LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION

Huka Lodge is located in Taupo, in the central North Island of New Zealand. It is stunningly positioned on the banks of the Waikato River, 300 metres up-stream from the Huka Falls. Set within 7 hectares of park-like grounds, each individual lodge is positioned privately in native bush, only metres from the river.

HOW TO GET THERE

Huka Helicopter transfers from Auckland, Wellington and Rotorua.
Enjoy the scenic wonders of the central North Island and be
delivered to the front lawn of the Huka Lodge. Auckland to Huka
Lodge - 1 hr 15min, Wellington to Huka Lodge - 1 hr 35 min, and
Rotorua to Huka Lodge 25 mins.

Driving by rental car or limousine generally takes 3-4 hours
from Auckland, 4.5 hours from Wellington and 1 hour from
Rotorua.

ROOM DESCRIPTION (USE AS A GUIDE ONLY)

CHILD POLICY:
Children aged 6 and above are charged as adults.

LODGE ROOMS Just 20 metres from the river amongst mature trees. The rooms are very secluded, offering every comfort from mini bar to walk-in dressing room. The rooms are spacious, light and very peaceful with slatted wooden, outdoor terraces. The bathrooms all have under-floor heating. A sunken bath is complimented by a separate shower and double handbasins.
BEDDING GUIDE: 1 Super King bed or 2 King single beds.
MAXIMUM GUESTS: 2 Adults

LODGE SUITE As above plus there is also another connecting room containing a lounge suite, dining suite, gas fireplace, full ensuite bathroom and a separate deck of the front of the room overlooking the lawn and the Waikato River.

OWNERS COTTAGE Offering complete privacy and independence with the full advantages of all Huka Lodge amenities just five minutes away. Its four spacious and elegant suites are anchored by a central living room, dining room, kitchen and a den that accommodates up to eight people. It offers a large outdoor deck that extends in a continuous line from the living room to its amazing infinity pool and the Waikato River beyond.

Should you be travelling with staff, provision has been made for two Escort Rooms with ensuite bathrooms designed for single occupancy.

Activities abound in the region surrounding Huka Lodge. Just an
hour or so away lies beautiful World Heritage listed Tongariro
National Park, with the volcanic peaks of Mount Ruapehu, Mount
Tongariro and Mount Ngauruhoe

The fishing here is exceptional, sailing and other watersports
are available at nearby Lake Taupo, golf is just two kilometres
away at the par 72 Wairakei International course and, an hour
away, the town of Rotorua is the ideal place to experience
Maori culture and history

Terrace or the river deck, beside outdoor fireplaces, or even
in the romantic riverside Jetty Pavilion

NOTES

MINIMUM STAY: 2 nights year round, excluding 22 December - 05 January when a minimum stay of 3 nights applies.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Any cancellations received 7 - 30 days prior will be charged
25% of the total nights booked.

Any cancellations received less than 7 days, clients will be
charged 100% of the total nights booked.

"No Shows" will be charged 100% for every room night booked.

Christmas/New Year:
Any cancellations received 90 days prior will be charged 25% of
the total nights booked. Any cancellation received 60 days
prior will be charged 100% of the total nights booked.

Surcharges are applicable for both December 24 and December 31.
