PROPERTY LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION

Located on the cliff-side eyrie in the Karangasem Regency of East Bali, Amankila (meaning peacefull hill) is as close as you can get to the Lombok straight without wading into it. Opened in 1992, Amankila lofty position is serenity itself, as inspiring as it is dramatic, providing a base from which to explore the areas rich cultural heritage. On arrival, the intimate air lobby has views of the sea. Below the resort is it's private stretch of sand and beach club.

HOW TO GET THERE

The Amankila Resort is a 1 hour drive from the international
airport in Denpasar. Complimentary transfers to and from the
airport are provided by the resort.

ROOM DESCRIPTION (USE AS A GUIDE ONLY)

Amankila's suites are elevated to take advantage of the spectacular ocean views and surrounding hillsides. The 34 freestanding suites, with their alang alang roof thatching, are fashioned as beach houses with a twist. They reflect the lines and flow of their East Bali surroundings, in particular the royal water palace just outside Amlapura, the district capital. Suites are connected to the reception and restaurant area by stepped walkways. Wireless broadband connections are available in all resort accommodation and public areas.

GARDEN SUITE
DESCRIPTION: Each suite features a large bedroom with wide window views, a canopied, king-size bed and a writing desk. The bathroom is divided, with a window-side divan, a soaking tub and separate shower and toilet rooms which give way to coconut-shell dressing areas and double terrazzo vanities. The suites outdoor terrace is furnished with a daybed, coconut-shell table and rattan chairs.

DESCRIPTION: The Kilasari Suite which takes its name from Amankila's main temple is perched high on the hillside with views overlooking the sea and its own 12m infinity pool.

AMANKILA SUITE

SPA TREATMENTS including traditional Balinese massage and
beauty treatments are available in the privacy of the guest's
suite, in the specially designated Massage Pavilion or at the
Beach Club, where two teakwood massage tables are hidden away
in a grove of coconut palms and flowering bushes.
YOGA classes can be taken amongst the coconut trees by the
Beach Club or in the privacy of guests suites.

THE SWIMMING POOL is set into the cliff-edge. The three tiered
blue-tiled pool faces the sea and each tier flows one into the
other down a stepped gradient similar to terraced fields. Aside
from the 41m Beach Club Pool, this signature Swimming Pool
dominates the landscape just below the lobby.

WATER SPORTS can be enjoyed at the Beach Club. For cruising
and snorkeling, Amankila offers two outriggers designed after
the Jukung, a traditional Balinese fishing craft.
